China Electronics Technology Group (CETC) is a Chinese state-owned enterprise specializing in electronics and defense industry, formed from the merger of 46 research institutes and 26 companies in 2002. It plays a key role in military technologies and digital infrastructure in China. In 2026, a CETC-affiliated joint venture, CMIT, must remove a customized version of Windows 10 for Chinese administrations, in favor of local operating systems such as Kylin OS or UOS.
