NBCUniversal is an American media conglomerate specializing in the production and distribution of audiovisual content (film, television, streaming) as well as the operation of theme parks and immersive experiences. A subsidiary of Comcast, the company resulted from the 2004 merger between NBC and Universal, two historic entities in the industry. In August 2026, its streaming platform Peacock announces a rise in subscriptions after posting its first profitable quarter with 48 million subscribers.
