The company is best known for franchises such as Unreal, Gears of War, and Fortnite, as well as its Unreal Engine. In August 2026, Epic Games is preparing a native Linux version of its launcher, the Epic Games Store, and announces a new season for Fortnite featuring crossovers with cult video game licenses.
