The Hyundai Ioniq 3, an electric city car rival to the Renault 5 E-Tech, will start at €29,995 in Belgium and Luxembourg. This suggests a similar price in France, with first deliveries expected from October 2026.
Prices aligned with European competition
Hyundai has officially revealed the Ioniq 3 pricing in Belgium (€29,995) and Luxembourg (€29,003). These figures, close to those of the Renault 5 E-Tech or the Volkswagen ID. Polo, suggest a similar positioning in France, subject to tax adjustments. In the Netherlands, the city car is even available from €27,995 for the small-battery version, and €31,995 for the large-battery version.
Production has begun in Turkey, at the İzmit plant, where Hyundai invested €250 million to modernize the site. This location, closer to Europe, should improve the vehicle’s eco-score and facilitate its eligibility for the CEE bonus in France.
Two batteries, varying ranges and trims
The Ioniq 3 is available with two batteries: a 42.2 kWh LFP (WLTP range of 344 km) and a 61 kWh NMC (WLTP range of 496 km). The respective power outputs are 147 hp and 136 hp. Charging from 10% to 80% takes about 30 minutes at 119 kW (42.2 kWh) or 110 kW (61 kWh).
The entry-level trim includes a 12.9-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless, front and rear parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control. The Trend version adds a 14.6-inch screen, a 9.9-inch digital cluster, and a Winter Pack (heated seats, heat pump). The N Line, Prime, and N Line Evo trims offer additional features like a Bose audio system or intelligent IFS headlights.

European production for a targeted market
The Turkish İzmit plant, which employs 2,400 people, will initially produce 30,000 Ioniq 3 units per year. From 2027, it will also assemble the next generations of the Bayon and i20. Hyundai is also preparing a battery system assembly unit at this site, initially dedicated to hybrid models.
